What can FollowAdder for Instagram can do For You?


Regardless of who, what or where you are promoting, the best way to attract attention to your Instagram profile is by being active on Instagram.

FollowAdder allows you to automate photo sharing, likes, comments, follows, searches, direct messages and much more so you can maintain an active presence, interacting with your target market, without being glued to your screen all day.


First Things First

  • Sign up for your free trial of FollowAdder here
  • Check your email to make sure you received your registration code. If you don't see it immediately, make sure you check your junk mail folder.
  • Additionally, make sure that you can receive email at the email address you used when registering your Instagram account. Instagram will sometimes ask you to reset your password when it sees you logging in from a different device/location.
  • Upload a profile picture & fill in your Instagram profile if you have not already done so.


Getting Started

  1. Enter your registration code into FollowAdder (We sent you an email containing this when you signed up)
  2. Add the Instagram user to the registration code
  3. If you already have an established Instagram account, it may take a few seconds or minutes for FollowAdder to download all of the data for your account (followers, shared photos, etc)
  4. Click on the overview tab, this will show you basic summary of your users. No automation will take place for the account until you turn on the Overview tab.
  5. From the Overview screen, double click the Instagram user you added. This will take you to the Account screen where you manage the user. You can also access this same screen through the Accounts tab at the top of the window.


List Management

Accounts Tab > Lists > (Users,Photos,My Photos,Comments)

FollowAdder can keep separate lists for managing different groups of users, photos, my photos (the ones you plan on sharing), and comments. These lists are accessible from the menu on the left side of the Accounts screen.

We recommend that you create different lists for each use, named appropriately, such as "Users to Follow", or "Photos to like".

If you plan on sharing photos through FollowAdder, you will add those photos to a list on the "My Photos" screen.


User Search

Accounts Tab > Searches > User

Before you can follow or direct message users, you need to setup a user search to populate a user list.

Depending on your goals, and your target market, there are several search types to suit different needs. For example, you may want to search for users who are following an Instagram user you feel has the same audience, or search for users who have liked a photo similar to ones you plan on sharing.

You must turn before searches will be performed.

 


Photo Search

Accounts Tab > Searches > Photo

Before you can like or comment on other photos, you need to setup a photo search to populate a photo list.

It can be a great idea to like or comment on photos which contain hashtags that are the same or similar to hashtags you plan on using. Users viewing those photos, and even the users who posted them will be likely to see your profile.

You must turn before searches will be performed.


Following Users

Accounts Tab > Follow / Follow Back > Follow

Now that you have a user list that is populated with users you want to follow, we can start following them.

Simply select the list of users you have created, and click "Add List" to add it to the list of lists to follow. You can leave the other settings on their default values for now.

You must turn before follows will be performed.


Share Photos

Accounts Tab > Photos > Share Photos

Sharing quality photos is one of the best things you can do to gain attention, new followers, likes, & comments. We highly recommend keeping your photos high quality, and limiting any marketing to the caption of the photos, and other comments.

To begin sharing your photos select the list of "My Photos" you have created, and click "Add List" to add it to the list of lists to share.

Hashtags are also very important and can make a huge difference in the number of views a photo receives. You should choose hashtags that are popular yet relevant to the photos you are posting. You can add hashtags to an individual photo's caption from the "My Photos" list, or you can have a list of hashtags randomly added to your photos from the Share Photos page.

Like Photos

Accounts Tab > Photos > Like

Now that you have a photo list that is populated with photos you want to like, we can start liking them.

Simply select the list of photos you have created, and click "Add List" to add it to the list of lists to like. You can leave the other settings on their default values for now.
